Interdisciplinarity 

Throughout my time in the Hutchins School of Liberal Studies, an interdisciplinary approach to knowledge has been at the heart of my education. While approaching an area of study, my knowledge is shaped by the many intersecting disciplines and context that make up that topic. By learning to be interdisciplinary in my education, I think I am a better student and a better citizen; by being able to place my studies, and myself, into a larger social context, I have improved my critical thinking skills and approach to life. Interdisciplinarity is a crucial component to me when continuing my education, and I hope to use the skills that I have learned in Hutchins as I move on to the next step in my life.
